Naomi has tried her hand at modeling and has some definite opinions about it. They make you think that modeling is all about just going somewhere and being pretty, she explains. They make you think youre going to try on a bunch of different outfits and everybodys going to treat you like a princess. And I guess on some level thats true, up to a point. You do get to go to different places, different exotic locales. You try on all these sexy clothes. You look your best, and when its all over, youre going to love the kinds of photos that theyve taken of you. But I have to tell you, when youre doing it, when youre actually working, its just that. Its work, and lots of it. Its a hard way to make a living, or at least, harder than you might think. Its not just a picnic. Naomi goes on, I had to get used to the fact that most shoots are done off season. You film the stuff for the fall in the spring, and you film the stuff for the spring in the fall. So what happens is that you find yourself sweating like crazy when youre supposed to be shooting for colder weather products, wearing outfits that are way too warm for the temperature outside. And then when youre doing the bikini shoots and other warm weather clothes, thats when youre trying not to show the fact that youre freezing, because the picture only has to look like a nice warm beach. In reality the waters freezing and so is the outdoor air. It only looks nice, and you have to maintain your smile through all of it. The people were very nice, though, Naomi adds. I really cant say anything bad about them.
